At LNP we prioritise community engagement and involvement across our operations and, in March as part of the PAPAYA project, one of our recent projects, our staff and volunteers, together with data collectors from the Welbodi Partnership and health workers from Rokupa Government Hospital, came together to save the life of a pregnant woman who underwent a successful surgery.
As a result, we are delighted to say the mother and her two babies are thriving today, and our thanks go to Alexandra Ridout, Akim, Dauda, Mohamed Turay and siter Betty for effective collaboration in saving the lives of this mother and her twins.
The PAPAYA project aims to raise awareness, increase ANC attendance and combat such conditions as pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, and high blood pressure, focusing on the three communities we serve.
