2024 was an eventful year for 2YL but the most important outcome, together with your support, is clearly seen in this photo showing just a small group of the young girls and babies whose lives have been saved through the team’s efforts.
At the NIHR CRIBS conference on November 13th, Lucy November and Mangenda Kamara presented findings from the 2YL research program.
Of late the 2YL team has focused on educating the young mentees about STD prevention amid rising rates of these infections.
The team successfully facilitated the necessary payments for 133 mothering adolescents, while others received support to start or grow businesses, in addition to which 109 new pregnant girls were recruited for the 2024 intake, and Mangenda represented 2YL at the GLOW 2024 conference in Edinburgh.
The 2YL team continues to positively impact vulnerable lives across various districts in Sierra Leone.
