On November 13th, Lucy November and Mangenda Kamara presented research findings of the 2YL program at the NIHR CRIBS Conference, in Freetown, clearly illustrating its simple but powerful effectiveness in proving methods that save the lives of the teenage girls involved and their babies.
The 2YL team are still currently engaged on a trip round the various community locations, educating the young mentees concerning preventive measures in avoiding STDs, a problem which seems to be on the rise, sadly resulting with the recent recording of 2 still births, however we are also receiving testimonies from some of the girls who have been able to return to school through the support 2YL.
