The news from 2YL is that Mangenda Kamara had a successful PhD visit to the UK, sharing the work passionately at various events.
Back home now, she and the team are now busily involved in supervision visits to all 12 sites around the country, where around 120 new girls will be recruited. It’s also the season for organising bursaries for girls returning to school or engaging in vocational training in September – a really impactful aspect of the 2YL project, allowing the young mothers the amazing opportunity for a second chance at education.
